STELLA CADENTE NAMES DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING

Stella Cadente Olive Oil Company, a Mendocino County producer of award-winning premium olive oils announces that Julia Kendrick Conway has joined them as Director of Sales and Marketing, effective March 1, 2007.

Conway has a BSBA Marketing from San Jose State University, and has studied at both the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, and in Tuscany. She has an extensive background in both the food industry and in management, as well as heading up Assaggiare Mendocino, a northern California food advocacy firm. She has served as both a producer and buyer of specialty food products, and most recently was manager of the Cheese Department at Harvest Market, a natural and specialty grocer in Mendocino County. Prior to Harvest, Conway was a department head and buyer for Oakville Grocery in two of their San Francisco Bay area stores. As both a leader and member of Slow Food USA, she is a strong advocate of traditional and local food production, and is active in a variety of initiatives supporting California’s food economy.

Stella Cadente Olive Oil Company produces Estate grown olives and a variety of artisanal extra virgin and flavored olive oils, including their newest offering, a pressed basil oil, debuted at the NASFT show in January of 2007.
